South Pittsburg Mountain Volunteer Fire Department is an all volunteer Fire Department serving the South Pittsburg Mountain Community and surrounding areas, in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. Founded July 1st, 1997, the department was created to protect and serve the South Pittsburg Mountain community. We’re currently 17 members strong including 13 State Certified firefighters, 2 support firefighters, and 1 Jr. firefighter.

Mission

The purpose of this corporation shall be to establish, operate and maintain an emergency fire fighting unit to the general public in and around South Pittsburg Mountain Community in Marion County, Tennessee, and to protect life and property from the hazards of fire, flood, storms, and other man-made and natural dangers and to further provide for the purchase, operation, and maintenance of a volunteer fire station to be situated in said community, and to develop fund raising projects for the purposes set out above; to utilize volunteer services insofar as possible.
