Scott Michael Moreland, of South Pittsburg Mountain, passed away in the line of duty on Monday, March 8, 2021.

He was employed with Lodge Cast Iron Manufacturing and was a lieutenant with our Fire Department. Prior to joining, Scott spent his life serving his country in the U.S. Navy and in the U.S. Marine Corps, Serving his country as a dedicated truck driver, serving his Faith as a Priest, serving his heritage in his history re-enactment troupe, and serving his family as a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Lt Scott Moreland you will be missed tremendously by all of us here at the department. We love you buddy.

Milton Eugene Van Allman passed away March 15, 2021. He was a member of South Pittsburg Church of God and Fire Chief for South Pittsburg Mountain Fire Department for over seventeen years. Milton served in the United States Air Force and was a retired Minister.
